Multi-talented recording artist,  Davido has announced the signing of an upcoming artist,  Lil Frosh  into Davido Music Worldwide records. The signing of Lil Frosh might be as a result of his recently released single titled “ Davido .” He made the revelation via a post on his Twitter handle: @iam_davido about 3 hours ago. “ WELCOME LIL FROSH TO DMW/AMW/30BG !!!!! LETS GO!!!, ” his tweet read.

Nigerian star Singer,  Duncan Mighty  has raised an alarm on social media that his life is under threat because of a deal he had with Rochas Okorocha. Duncan Mighty wrote an open letter to former Imo State governor,  Owelle Rochas Okorocha , claiming his life is being threatened because of money paid to him by the politician to record a song with one of his boys. The singer shared the open letter on Instagram and revealed he has been invited by the police. He added that he is willing to return the money to the politician to secure his life and avoid further embarrassment to his person.

The organizers of the 2019 Africans Unite concert scheduled to take place in Cape Town at The Lawns on the 23rd of November and Tshwane’s Sun Arena on November 24 have announced Nigerian singer, Burna Boy in their line up. A Federal High Court in Lagos will on Oct. 22 begin the trial of popular Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola a.k.a  Naira Marley , facing fraud charges, PM news reports. Anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had preferred an 11-count charge against the musician bordering on conspiracy, possession of counterfeit cards, and fraud. The “Jo Soapy” crooner, was arraigned on May 20 before Justice Nicholas Oweibo but denied the charges. Following a bail application by defence counsel, Mr. Olalekan Ojo, (SAN), the court had granted Fashola bail in the sum of N2 million with sureties in like sum. The trial of the defendant, which was earlier fixed for Monday, has now been shifted to Oct. 22 (tomorrow) as the court did not sit. However, both the defence and prosecution counsel were present and seen in the court’s premises. According to the charge, the defendant allegedly committed the offences on different dates between Nov. 26, 2018, Dec.11, 2018, and May 10.

A lecturer of Kano State School of Technology, Shehu, was granted N200,000 bail over alleged sexual harassment of his female student. A Kano Chief Magistrate Court has granted bail to a lecturer standing trial over alleged sexual harassment of his female student. The 36-year-old lecturer, Shehu, was granted N200,000 bail with two reliable sureties in like sum by Chief Magistrate Muhammad Idris. He said one of the sureties must be a Senior Lecturer of Kano State School of Technology and the second should be the village head of the community where the accused person resides. “Both the accused and sureties shall deposit two recent passport photographs,’’ he ordered on Tuesday. The News Agency of Nigeria recalled that the court had earlier fixed October 15, for sentencing after the accused pleaded guilty, but during Tuesday’s hearing, his counsel requested for a fresh trial. Nobel laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, has said Nigeria’s educational system is nothing to write home about. He spoke on Sunday at the University of Lagos, Akoka, during the presentation of a play, ‘Folly of Men.’ The event was part of activities commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Government College, Ibadan (GCI). According to the prolific playwright and activist, education in Nigeria is horrific, adding that the country is in trouble. Soyinka, while fielding questions from journalists, commended the GCI Old Boys Association for organising the programme. He said the country’s education was nothing to write home about. “We are in serious trouble, education-wise in this country. Let me not kid you; it’s horrifying. Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation has condemned the abduction of nine children in Kano State. We reported that nine children were kidnapped in Kano and taken to Onitsha in Anambra State where they were sold. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) described the abduction as kidnapping for Christ, claiming that nine Muslim children were converted to Christianity and sold into slavery. Fani-Kayode, reacting described the abduction as an act of wickedness, adding that the suspects should be given the ‘harshest punishments when caught’ He countered MURIC’s statement that the kidnap was for Christ. According to him, “Kidnappers abduct others to satisfy their own evil passions, carnal desires, love of money, insatiable greed and inexplicable cruelty. Ojonugwa Ojomeje, the leader of a three man armed robbery gang, has revealed that he used his in-law’s police uniform for robbery in Ikorodu, Lagos. It was also disclosed that Michael’s in-law whose police vest and fez cap were used for the operation was outside the state at the time of the incident. . Ojomeje, 29, was arrested alongside his accomplice Emmanuel Michael (24) and Moses Ogeh (27) by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad. Ojomeje and Ogeh were caught in MOPOL vest, police vest and fez cap while trying to escape after collecting an ‘Okada’ from a rider. The victim, on releasing the ‘okada’ to the robbers, walked few steps away before crying out for help. . This drew the attention of the operatives of Rapid Response Squad in the area. They were chased and arrested few meters from the scene.

The Nigerian Police Force, Rivers State Command has announced the arrest of most wanted notorious kidnapper from Egamini Rundele, in Emohua LGA, Ekweme Brown Ike, aka LUCIFER. Ekweme died in a gun battle with Men of the Operation STING, in a STING Operation led by the Commander, ACP Shem Evans. He was responsible for all the kidnappings and hijack of Commercial Buses on the Ndele axis of the East/West Road. The entire Rundele Community has thrown into wild jubilation as a result of his death. Meanwhile, efforts are on to arrest his accomplices.

Late Ibrahim Tanko Kuta was stabbed to death by a notorious guy by name Daddy Swagger. Daddy Swagger was nowhere to be found not until on 27th of Sept,2019. He was apprehended by the police in his house when it was discovered that he returned to Kontagora. The case was transferred to CID headquarters for proper investigation. One of the most wanted Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) suspects was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ilorin Zonal Office on Thursday September 26, before Justice Mahmood Abdulgafar of a Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin. The 36-year-old man identified as Joesph Oyediran, pleaded not guilty after being arraigned on a five count charge bordering on internet fraud and other fraud related offences. He was remanded in Mandala Prison while the case was adjourned till October 9 for commencement of trial. EFCC’s statement reads in part; Oyediran was arraigned before Justice Mahmood Abdulgafar of a Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin, on a five count charge bordering on internet fraud and other fraud related Offences, obtaining money under false pretence among others. A fallen container from a truck has crushed two people to death and injured several others at Ikorodu area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria. Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed the death of two people in the incident. He said the tragedy occurred on Monday at Agric. Bus Stop, Ikorodu. According to Oke-Osanyintolu, “Two people were dead. Three sustained major injuries and several others sustained minor injuries when a container fell on a Toyota Camry and three motorcycles.” He said investigations at the scene of the accident revealed that a truck with a 20ft container fully loaded with unknown items with registration number LSD-611XU was on top speed, had a break failure, lost control and subsequently fell on the Toyota Camry with registration number FKJ-732FS and the three motorcycles.
